Optimal Linear Glauber Model

Contrary to the actual nonlinear Glauber model, the linear Glauber model (LGM) is exactly solvable, although the detailed balance condition is not generally satisfied. This motivates us to address the issue of writing the transition rate (wj) in a best possible linear form such that the mean squared error in satisfying the detailed balance condition is least.

TerraSAR X based PsInSAR for subsidence mapping

The prime focus of this study is to find total subsidence in the Burgan oil field, Kuwait using PSInSAR technique. Permanent scatter candidates (PSC) were then selected based on the amplitude stability index. Total subsidence was found to be varying between –10 and 10 mm per year on the Displacement Map. PsInSAR has been successfully implemented for finding subsidence between 2008 and 2011 in Burgan Oil field.

Biofuel (Biomass Delignification)

Due to a limited amount of fossil fuel availability and a steady increase in energy demand, an energy gap is created. The simplest way to close this energy gap is to burn more fossil fuel to generate more and more energy.

Effect of CO2 dilution on combustion characteristics of a liquid fuel fired flameless combustor

Effects of CO2 dilution on combustion characteristics such as temperature distribution and gaseous emissions are studied experimentally. The combustor operates in the flameless mode for the range of operating conditions studied here.

Response to Copper Stress in Streptomyces lividans Extends

A copper-sensitive operon repressor protein (CsoR) has been identified in Streptomyces lividans (CsoRSl) and found to regulate copper homeostasis with attomolar affinity for Cu(I). Solution studies reveal apo- and CuI -CsoRSl to be a tetramer assembly, and a 1.7-A˚ resolution crystal structure of apo-CsoRSl reveals that a significant conformational change is necessary to enable Cu(I) binding.

Modulating the Cascade architecture of a minimal

Shewanella putrefaciens CN-32 contains a single Type I-Fv CRISPR-Cas system which confers adaptive immunity against bacteriophage infection. Three Cas proteins (Cas6f, Cas7fv, Cas5fv) and mature CRISPR RNAs were shown to be required for the assembly of an interference complex termed Cascade.

Interference activity of a minimal Type-I CRISPR Cas

Type I CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats)–Cas (CRISPRassociated) systems exist in bacterial and archaeal organisms and provide immunity against foreign DNA. The Cas protein content of the DNA interference complexes (termed Cascade) varies between different CRISPR-Cas subtypes.

Quantum Radar Archeron Group

The working principle of a Quantum Radar (QR) is based on the principle of Quantum Illumination (QI) which in turn has at its heart the phenomenon of Quantum Entanglement of continuous variables. Similar to the discrete case, variables having continuum outcomes may as well be entangled.

CNOT Entanglement Archeron Group

Note that when the control qubit has a logic value 1 will the target qubit have its logic value altered. We will see that the Hadamard gate (next section) which generates superpositions augmented with the CNOT operation can generate Bell-States which are entangled states.
